We wanted to quell some myths about modular suppressors by torture testing the Surge 762 to the point of failure. Enjoy!

Nice.
I was thinking that it would be interesting if you had a "cook off", then you did and I jumped a little.

Wow that is scary yet impressive.
And thats with a full stellite baffle stack correct? I wonder how much sooner inconel and stainless steel cans would fail.

So what is on fire, per say? Why the flames?

That looked hot.
Re: Rugged Suppressors Surge 762 Torture Test
That was gnarly. Now cut it in half, and show us what's left of the internals.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I want one for my m14... What is the noise reduction? Frp db rating? Average db rating on 5-10 rds?
Any plans on making a quick change adapter for the m14, so i do not have to remove the flashider?
Thank you
Andy

Yes, the Surge features a full Stellite baffle stack. We're considering doing a comparison test using other baffle materials (stainless, inconel) to give everyone a better understanding of the wear characteristics of each. Is that something you guys would be interested in seeing?rimshaker wrote:Wow that is scary yet impressive.

Absolutely - would be even better if you made identical baffle stacks out of 17-4, Inconel 718 and stellite, ran them hard and fast, sectioned them out and compared the wear on the bore of each.RuggedSuppressors wrote:Yes, the Surge features a full Stellite baffle stack.
