Under-Rail Suppressor Issue...

I just got my SiCo Omega in. I want to run it direct thread under my rail, on an 8" barrel. But every time I take the can off, the can un-threads from the Direct Thread mount/end-cap, and NOT the barrel. The mount stays on the barrel. I have to take the rail off to remove the direct thread mount.

How do I get this to work? It sucks taking the rail off very time.

Maybe a solid shim between the shoulder and can?

Loctite won't work. I need to still be able to move the can to different hosts, including a 5.56 with a half inch thread.

Blue Loctite will do the work. Its not as permanent as RED but will require a wrench to get it off.

I'll pick some up.

What will take it off? If/when it gunks up the threads... Just Hoppes or CLP?

A brass brush and just about any cleaner/degreaser you like. At least that's what works for me but there are probably easier methods.

If you run your can really hot (above 700°F) you will break down the blue, below that it should work fine.

i use rtv just a dab on the threads, works great! it will still come loose easily but puts just enough resistance to thread off of barrel
