Here is the news you have been patiently waiting for! I recently attended the Silencerco MAXIM VICE event in Key West, FL and almost as impressive as the products themselves was the event and it's hilarious tribute to 80's crime fighting. Okay lets get to the details!

The 4 big announcements from Silencerco are as follows:

1. SWR, as you already know from the company leak is now Silencerco Weapon Research and their first product is the Radius which is a rail or scope mountable laser range finder with the ability to range up to one mile. It can also range in real time and give the user the distance in meters or yards via a bright blue screen that can be switched to a horizontal or vertical plane depending on the current use of the unit (rail or scope mode).

To zero the unit all the user does is line up a visible laser with the zero on the scope reticle. From that point on you no longer need the visible laser as anything that is on your cross-hair is now the ranged object. There are two ways to laze the intended target. One is a push button on the back of the unit or one could use the included 3.5mm jack remote pressure switch. Oh yeah, it's also water resistant and will retail at $999. It will be shipping soon and units are being made as you read this!

2. Osprey Micro: As you would've guessed, this is a .22 caliber Osprey (finally) and while it shares more aspects with the Salvo12 than the Osprey, they decided to stick with the name Osprey over Salvo as the word Salvo means "A discharge of more than one projectile" which is more fitting in a shotgun application. The Micro is a length adjustable suppressor in either 4.6" or 3.1", the weights are 6.1oz and 4.3oz respectively and the tested dB numbers are 112dB in the long configuration and 127dB at in the short.

The Micro is also holsterable, easy to clean, full auto rated and of course has the flat sight plane we have all come to love about the Osprey line. The MSRP is $599 and it will be available in October. Silencerco is already pumping out parts and forms! I was also able to get early access to this suppressor and have already filmed a quick tabletop review of it at my house. Look for it on my YouTube Channel!

These next two items will be available in 2016 right after SHOT Show; they have me pretty damn pumped up. Of course after watching the hilarious Maxim Vice marketing spoof video how could I not be excited lol! (Check out their Social Media to watch their videos)

3. HYBRID: The Hybrid is exactly what it says it is; a versatile suppressor that can be used on anything from .22lr to 338Lapua and everything in between. It is full auto rated and can readily accept all the current mounts from the Harvester Big Bore, Omega and Octane. You can run fixed adapters for your bolt gun, QD mounts for your AR's and other run n gun applications and of course the booster assembly for use on any pistol. The MSRP will be set at a later date. Diameter comes in a 1.5", Weight 13.7oz and Length is 7.6" with flat front cap.

4. MAXIM: I saved the best for last. The Maxim is the worlds first 9mm integral handgun. Right now it is in a working prototype stage. This will not become another AAC Blackbox! This product should be ready by SHOT if they hit all their marks. In it's current state the engineers have used a highly modified frame from a S&W M&P and intend on making a full in house pistol. The M&P frame was used to get the prototype working in time for this Press Event.

The pistol is hearing safe, can be shot wet or dry and is not intended at this time to be user-serviceable just like the Osprey line. If you have a concern with filling it up just send it in to SiCo. I did this after 5,000 rds back in the day on my Osprey 9 that went in for a paint blem (early serial#13). During the repair procecess they sent pics of the stack and it was still good to go and was only black from soot without any buildup. One would assume it is a simple blow-back converted franken-gun...but they would be wrong! I had a talk with the lead engineer on the project and he went on to explain it's a sort of delayed blowback design of their own but couldn't divulge more information until a later date.

This pistol, while being far from it's final draft, sure impressed the hell out of me and everyone else at the event. I can only imagine what the finished product will look like. I mentioned it would be neat if they could integrate a small weapon light in the front bottom of the suppressor body and it's something they are looking into.

The Maxim is destined to become a great option for those looking to protect themselves with a high end, suppressed pistol. From home defense to law enforcement/military duty holsters across the United States. Oh and speaking of holsters, Raven Concealment Systems is already working with SiCo on holster options for the Maxim and Osprey Micro. They had prototypes at the event as well and I was impressed with the attention to detail.

Well, that's the news. I will let you absorb that while I post pictures from the announcement party, live fire demo on the yacht and of course the aforementioned YouTube exclusive review of the new Osprey Micro. Enjoy!

Do you recall SiCo specifically stating the Hybrid is GTG up to .338L? A few other attendees or at least the posts are reporting .458SOCOM/45-70Gv't. By the way, thanks for taking the time to attend and to report back. Your reviews are instrumental to a lot of our decision making.

The press kit info they gave us and the product demo video we watched had conflicts. They shot 338Lm in the video yet the written material doesn't follow. I will find out and report back.

So now that you have read the write up of the first night and absorbed all the details of the new products; I'll get into the shenanigans of the day spent on the water yesterday!

I sometimes call upon The Tactical Nomad to help me on large scale events and reviews. I'm glad I tasked him to join me on this one!

I, along with half of the other guests aboard joined the ‪#‎maximviceportsiders‬ club early on and never recovered. Never-the-less he came through and got the shots needed so I can edit a video for you all! We hope to have it done by Friday!

It was a fun two days, very organized and revealed some very cool products that I'm eager to get my hands on to review!

I thank you all for your continued support and for subscribing on YouTube!

Enjoy these pics from yesterday!

I think they said up to .338 Lapua in some of the kit info because that has the highest muzzle pressure of everything it is rated for. It should have a .45 cal bore.

What a cool event, I'm jealous especially seeing the Hybrid on the MPX! I've been drooling over the MPX for a while now. How did it sound on the MPX? Any idea when SilencerCo is going to officially announce the Hybrid with all stats and decibel numbers?

Maxim 9 looks sweet. If they're making the frame in house instead of going with S&W like the prototype, they should make one that takes Glock mags.

Regardless, this is going to be a game-changing gun. For starters, I bet LEOs will start ordering them.
