If you had a choice between Octane HD and Octane K, which would it be?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

I went with the HD, it works fine for my uses. I wouldn't worry about 3 ounces, but if I needed a shorter option the K would be good. I'd like to get a Nano 9 option though.

I had my dealer order the HD, but they sent him a K and he offered me a better deal to get rid of it. When I saw on silencerco's website that the HD was quieter than the K by 7db I had him get the HD.

I didn't even think twice about it, bought the Octane 45 HD. I like quieter over slightly lighter/shorter.

My choice is the HD for the better sound suppression on a full-size .45 host. But your choice depends on what you intend to host it on and whether you prefer a shorter length and slightly less weight of the K over the better sound suppression of the HD.

My reason for buying a silencer is silencing, so I would choose the better performer.
