Rugger Surge/Razor - do they have a direct thread mount option?

It appears not unless I'm just not seeing it. Direct thread will always result in about a 1" shorter OAL, right?

Thanks for your email. The answer to your question is a bit of yes and no. No, we don’t manufacture a dedicated direct thread mount for the Surge. However, you can use any of our muzzle devices to allow for a direct thread application. To do this, you’d want to attach the brake or flash hider to the host then mount the Surge to the muzzle device. At that point you can unthread the Surge and the muzzle device together and have a direct thread mounting option.

^^ ummm ok. That just totally defeats the purpose/benefits of direct threading anyway.
Anybody can do that. A simple "no" answer would've sufficed.

It makes sense.

They could have said, "just don't torque down and time the brake."
