SilencerCo Omega Full Auto Torture

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

If anyone is curious about what an Omega can handle.

Yikes!!! No longer.

It surely survived 'destructive' testing.

A most rugged beast.

Good show, guys.

Another reason for HPA to pass.

It may have held up, but I wouldn't call it well. The Baffles are probably trashed and that fire is coming from something in there. Granted, that was a pretty abusive test.

I noticed what looked like hot metal coming out of the end a couple times so the test may speak more to safety than sustainability. I'm concidering an omega for a 6.5 grendel 18" that will never see more than rapid strings. For that use the video gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Big thumbs up. I'm so tired of people saying the Omega isn't up to the task of heavy use and to get a Saker. I seriously doubt anyone is dumping 10 mags full auto as fast as possible.

By the third mag the suppressor no longer contained muzzle flash. How long would this hold up using the much shorter barreled M-4 or CAR-15.While the zombies may not care I would in a firefight.

PS: I think mag dumps are a waste of ammo and abusive to equipment.Popping cans with shorts bursts is more in line with any training used today.
The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

It wasn't a question of the Omega handling heavy duty use. It was more about the long-term durability/lifespan of the Saker vs Omega.

"We stand behind our products with a lifetime warranty, no matter what – even if it’s not a product defect. "

I don't think anyone can knock SilencerCo's CS/Warranty. Enough said.

That is pretty amazing. I'd love to see some pictures of the insides! Pull the adapter and end cap and post them up :)

Stellite rocks. But I'd love to see the condition of the SS baffles after that.

Yeah. I've seen pictures of cans with heavy firing schedules where inconel blast baffles still looked good, but the SS baffles immediately following had the apertures worn larger.
