Am I crazy or will it ROCK?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Am I crazy or will it ROCK?

Post by Ironballs »

I just ordered a CZ Scorpion evo3 pistol & Blade brace.

I had a choice of getting an adapter from 18x1mm to 1/2x28, but I would have to buy a fixed piston for my Osprey 45 can without the booster. I have a fixed piston to run it on 300BO subsonic that's 5/8x24 already.

I also have a Liberty Freedom in 5/8x24.

So, I got an adapter from 18x1mm to 5/8x24 to use the above cans.

Would it still Rock in both cans or did I make mistakes in my figuring?

As a side note: I have ~1400 Rds of freedommunitions 147g 9mm that my Glock/Osprey 45 can doesn't like. I'm hoping that the Scorpion will eat the ammo reliably.

I don't think you're going to have any problems at all.

Surprised about the Freedom Munitions 147 gr. not getting eaten by your Glock with the Osprey.
All my pistols (Glock's included) eat that s--t up like it was candy.

Same experience with FM 147's,- we have 11 9mm's and every one likes it. 5 are Glock.
It's not a silencer, it's a can of whoopass!

That .308 liberty freedom won't be too happy with 9mm bullets stacked up in it!

I assume he's saying he could also use the Osprey on a 300 blackout with subs, but that is a splendid point if I'm doing that whole ass-u-me thing!

The Osprey generally uses a fixed spacer, not a fixed piston, so it should just be a standard 1/2x28 piston and the fixed spacer you already have.

Found out the new Cz's have both an 18x1 & towards the muzzle 1/2x28.

Based on this, I cancelled my adapter before it shipped.

It fits. CZ Scorpion EVO3 9mm & SilencerCo Osprey 45.

18x1 threads exposed. 1/2x28 threaded tightly. No need for a spacer or an adaptor. I hope it has enough shoulder to seal.
