What are the smallest/lightest over-the-bbl mounted .30 cal cans?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

What are the smallest/lightest over-the-bbl mounted .30 cal cans?

Post by GlockandRoll »

I have an 18" proof research CF bbl with an .875" OD muzzle and a 15" SLR ION ultra-light guard.
I'm looking to have the suppressor mount as close back to the guard as possible, so anything more than 3" wouldn't work.

Thanks in advance.

I agree. Maybe people are too interested in Politics and Prepping for Survival just now?

I'm not familiar w many Models. There are some Euro Builds that fit your needs. But you cant' import them. :(

So I have no suggestions other than a Form1. :?

Amtac, Griffin Armament, Surefire, and Allen Engineering all do OTB designs which are short enough. However I don't think any have large enough ID's for the .875 barrel. Might be SOL. If you want short and light, could always go with a Brevis Ultra II.

That's what I'm worried about now, the BBL OD.
I can't find much on there on the Brevis in 7.62 but it looks interesting being 3D printed for sure!

Yeah Amtac does make one with a large enough ID (the Sniper) but it needs 6in of barrel behind it. The Brevis II has gotten good reviews as far as I've seen. A direct thread Omega is only ~12oz and 6in as well which isn't too bad.

Have you considered a custom can? There's several companies that will do one off builds
