This seems like it would be illegal to sell or posses.
i was looking on ebay and found this
is this is a sting or something?

Looks like jail bait. Is the seller a class III dealer?
I had to buy some washers from Lowes for a deck project once, no hassles there

Re: How is this legal?- ebay listing
I noticed several questionable muzzlebrakes on ebay recently.
One, even looks like a patented design that I have seen pictures of recently.

Here is a screenshot that I got of it because I am sure that the listing won't last long.
I would strongly recommend to use better judgement than to try to buy one of these. Run away screaming.

Looks like an Ebayer since 2015 and got 93 transactions with 100% satisfaction rate.
Re: How is this legal?- ebay listing
I honestly don't see how this is much different than a solvent trap and storage cup kit. Can this muzzle brake be turned into a silencer? Yes. Was it designed to be turned into a silencer? Yes. But you can say the same about solvent trap kits. What's the difference?John A. wrote:I noticed several questionable muzzlebrakes on ebay recently.

Unless and until you put that inside a tube, it's just a muzzle brake.

Re: How is this legal?- ebay listing
My precedent is sig sauer muzzlebrake on their 9mm thing, which were pulled from the market.
And there has been at least one other ebay seller who was selling long muzzlebrakes who was recently jailed, but then he got out and started selling them again, and went back to jail for muzzlebrakes that would be a lot more difficult to do.

Yeah, I agree with fishman. What difference does it make? That muzzle brake looks bad ass. Bleeds gas outward. One mans idea. Maybe they look like flames instead? Where does the line between art, technical, and the law intersect? There really is no black/white, only shades of gray.
Re: How is this legal?- ebay listing
Sig was open about their muzzle brakes doubling as silencer baffles. Also, their muzzle brakes required no machining to become a silencer part. That's very different from this ad and solvent traps.John A. wrote:My precedent is sig sauer muzzlebrake on their 9mm thing, which were pulled from the market.

It should be illegal solely based on that giant first chamber. I can hear it screaming FRP, from here

intent...thats how its legal.
If its sold with the intent, purchased with the intent, and used with the intent to be nothing other than a weird, oversized muzzle brake; then there is nothing illegal about it.
However once you cover it with anything, hell wrap a piece of paper around it, im sure the ATF can say your intent is no longer a muzzle brake.
my only dislike is that its aluminum and he suggests .223/5.56. That muzzle blast will erode the hell out of it in short order.

also could you recommend a source to buy some steel baffl cones in the 1.5 inch range and a tube and end caps for a cheap form 1?
