Silencer covers rant

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Silencer covers rant

Post by tf2addict »

My Cole-Tac cover starts sliding off the front of my 5.56 silencer after only a few dozen rounds no matter how tightly I cinch it up. And this is with 5.56! I have a rather short can with only two straps so that doesn't help.

My next cover will have an anti-walking feature. Who makes a cover that has that?

Mine is a simple spit cover with a stripe of velcro running the length of the split.

I start my cover 1/4" to 1/2" off the back (toward the bolt) of my suppressor, pull it closed to a smaller diameter than the suppressor and seal the velcro.

Every recoil makes it more snug against the back of the can but it never slides forward.

I rarely use it but when I do it stays put.
