45 Raptor Suppressor?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

45 Raptor Suppressor?

Post by JeffWard »

I'm building a 16" 45 Raptor.

The Bowers 458 will only handle pressures up to 26,500 fps. The 458 I believe produces 35,000PSI at the muzzle.
The 45 Raptor can produce 62,000 +/-...

Is there a can out there that will handle a .460 projectile at Raptor Pressure?

I assume a monster 50BMG suppressor... but they are HUGE, heavy, and expensive!

Thx

"We’re making this for people who need a can capable of taking the pounding from a full auto .458 firing supersonic rounds, but who don’t need the bore size of a Vers 50. It is rated to pass .460 diameter bullets and for velocities up to 2650 Feet Per Second, making it suitable for rounds like the .45 Raptor using 230 grain and heavier bullets."

did you not even check their website?

Reach out to Cory @ Lane Suppressors. They have a Scorpion 458 which may be suitable for use.
