Heres the custom 45 cal integral/reflex silencer that Curtis Tactical did for me.
heres my 45ACP, radial delayed blowback, CMMG MKG Guard 45.
today i cut the barrel from 10" to 7" and rethreaded it from .587x24 to 11/16x24 (450 bushmaster thread). it has an effective barrel length of 15".
Here's it on my 450 bushmaster. Joe Jones at Curtis Tactical cut the threads for the tapered shoulder mount when he did the baffles. I asked him not to port that barrel or shorten it, to maximize velocity because its my deer gun. I still need to port the barrel on my MKG and tune the delayed blowback action with CMMGs weight kit.
the baffles are Curtis Tactical's fancy K baffles that thread into each other and seal the baffles off from the tube. the baffle stack slides right out after shooting and the baffles unscrew and slide apart from each other super easy. My biggest complaint with k baffles is how hard they are to get out of the tube, but this completely solves that issue.

He did a good job on that.
Though I'm not surprised.

pretty sure it's the new cmmg guard complete pistol they offer.
Re: Integral 45ACP 450Bushmaster silencer by CurtisTactical
It's CMMGs new lower. Its the only glock mag lower with reliable last round bolt hold open. There are other 45 10mm glock lowers though.bwp777 wrote:I didn't know there were 45 lowers to accept glock mags or I would have gone that route instead of my 9mm. what lower is that?
The beauty of this system is the delayed blowback.

I bet that suppressor sounds great on the 45 acp, volume never hurts. Nice write up with good photos. You do nice work too, that 45acp barrel looks as good as anything that comes out of my shop.

It sounds great on both hosts. Even the 450 is vey comfortable to shoot without hearing protection.
I'm working on getting the 45 as quiet as I can. I added the heaviest weight in the action tuning kit and that drastically reduced port noise. This weight attaches directly to the BCG. After I port the barrel and develop a load, I want to add as much weight to the buffer as I can.

Depending on the design, porting the barrel would be very beneficial.
I know that it's different in a lot of ways, but the Delisle was probably the most effective 45acp suppressor ever designed. Some saying even as low as 85 or 90db perhaps.
Porting the barrel prior to the baffle stack would reduce as much gas traveling through that big fat bore as much as possible. (though being a semi, retaining enough function properly of course).

I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion on how it sounds now.
I fully suspect it will be favorable.

It sounds great. The gas to the face and port noise are almost non-existentJohn A. wrote:I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion on how it sounds now.

Those are great advantages to have.
I immediately noticed the same when I built my first integral.
It's definitely quiet and very pleasurable to shoot extended periods of time.

I almost always port integrals, it is the best way to make use of the over barrel space.

I am plannig a 450 Bushmaster build and I want it to be suppressor-ready so I don’t end up re-buying parts.
What’s your parts list/specs for barrel, gas block, and handguard? I absolutely love the look of your deer gun!
Thanks!

Any reason to go with 450 bushmaster vs 458 socom?
Re: Integral 45ACP 450Bushmaster silencer by CurtisTactical
Its a stock 16" bushmaster upper with the handguard replaced by a YHM quad rail. I put the stock handguard on my 45 in the first pic.Oldestof6brthrs wrote:I am plannig a 450 Bushmaster build and I want it to be suppressor-ready so I don’t end up re-buying parts.

Re: Integral 45ACP 450Bushmaster silencer by CurtisTactical
Its a straight wall round so there's a few states where its allowed for deer hunting where 458 socom is not. Brass and loaded ammo are very abundant whereas 458 is not. Hornady is very invested in 450 so I don't think it's going anywhere. 450 bushmaster brass can be made very easily from 284 brass. 458 is not a saami roundHannibalbarca wrote:Any reason to go with 450 bushmaster vs 458 socom?
