Going from an individual tax stamp to trust...

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Going from an individual tax stamp to trust...

Post by boostmg »

Sorry for posting back to back but this question is relevant for anyone in my situation.

When I look at the NFA wait times, individuals seem to get their tax stamps faster. I have a trust and want my dad on it but that would take longer.

What is the process if I got an individual stamp ... then later wanted to have it added to a trust?

So instead of filing both of us on the trust, I would do the individual (to get the stamp faster) .. then try to transfer it to a trust (if it takes long but I still have my NFA item IDGAF).

I have a feeling there is some bullshit but just curious.

Costs you twice as much (both transfers need a stamp). Not worth $200 to save 4 months, IMO.
