Silencerco hybrid oring

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Silencerco hybrid oring

Post by Slugnut83 »

I am relatively new to the whole silcencer world so just looking so info. I was trying to swap out my 45 amp piston (.578x28) to my new 9mm (1/2x28) piston and the oring came apart. It’s the oring in the piston housing ( piston housing booster) i believe. I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the size so I would be able to possibly get a replacement today instead of waiting to get one from silencerco.

To get Viton replacements it's probably easiest to order a pack from Silencerco.

I think these are the right size https://www.mcmaster.com/#1201t29/=12hvlq6

Material Viton® Fluoroelastomer Rubber
Cross Section Shape Round
Dash Number 018
Fractional
Width 1/16
ID 3/4
OD 7/8
Actual
Width 0.07"
ID 0.739"
OD 0.879"
Hardness Durometer 75A (Medium)

The buna-n rings at your local hardware store will do OK but they won't last as long.
