Can I buy via a trust in another state?

Hey, everyone.

My brother created a trust in another state, in order to purchase NFA Class3 items. He also listed me as a trustee. My question is: Can I purchase a suppressor here, in another state, on that same trust? Suppressors are legal in both states in question.

The suppressor would have to be purchased in the resident state of the trust then to take it to your state as a trustee after it clears you'd have to fill out a 5320 is my understanding. I'm not a lawyer so I may or may not understand correctly.

if you have to supply the money I'm not sure how that works, could be OK since you're a trustee.

For a real CYA answer you have to ask a trust lawyer in your brother's state.
