9mm rifle subsonic load data?

I recently purchased a Ruger PC Carbine 9mm rifle which has a 16" threaded barrel. I also purchased some inexpensive 9mm 147 gr. ammo rated a 950 FPS. However, shooting the PC Carbine with my .44 suppressor the rounds were really loud. I got my crono and tested the ammo and it was going about 1160 FPS. I assume this ammo speed is rated for pistols. Does anyone have any subsonic load data for 9mm rifles? Any help would really be appreciated.

Shooting my Ti-Rant 9 on a PC9 takedown I got 121.8 dBA with a 147 TC and 3.7 CFE Pistol. Not to say that's the perfect load; actually it's one of the first I've tried. This load/rifle metered 149.1 unsuppressed.

At my right ear it metered 139.1. Yep, sounds a lot like a blowback 9mm. So while it suppressed nicely at the usual 1M left, it's still noisy to the shooter.

That said, it's really accurate. It's a keeper.

I have worked up a load with 147s and 3.5 grs. Win 231 that's just enough to reliably cycle standard semi-autos and very quiet. I haven't chronographed it yet, I expect it's right around 800 FPS

Good point ECCO, I forgot to post the velocity. My notes show:

-- Rainier 147, 3.7 CFE Pistol, 1.135 OAL, was 960 FPS.

-- Same everything except 3.8 CFE Pistol and 1.100 OAL was 1,012 FPS.

165 gr Hush round nose
2.8 gr Titegroup
1.155" or 1.160" COL
CCI 500 SP primers

They sound even better out of 16 inch barrels suppressed than they do shorter barrels due to the powder burning out before entering the can and plenty of oomph downrange. I haven't checked velocity with my 16's, but O know they're stable. No keyholing at 25 yards anyway and I ring gongs @75.

You can thank me later.

Thanks for all the info on the 9mm load data. Much appreciated!

John A,
The 165 gr Hush round nose sounds like a winner. I'd like to give that a try too.

I had some 124gr Hornady FMJ bullets on hand. So, I loaded them on top of 4.4 grains of Unique.
They cycled the action and remained subsonic in a 4.5" MPX. But, not sure how fast they'll go in a longer barrel.
