Parker-Hale, Vintage, WWII, .22

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Parker-Hale, Vintage, WWII, .22

Post by 4ema »

I am very new to the Suppressors, just received my NFA license. I am restoring a Winchester 67, Dual Sight, British Proofs, with suppressor threading of 1/2 by 20. It is all original, except for the suppressor. I stumbled into this great forum. I am hoping that I can find someone that has one for sale. Please give me some guidance. My Dad was a P-47 pilot, stationed originally in England, fought/flew in France. He taught me to shot with a model 67. I have gone on to be a champion and Olympian from his tutelage. thanks

You might check with Cornell Publications << www.cornellpubs.com >> for their
"Bound Set of Parker-Hale Catalogues of Arms and Accessories".

P. 205 stars 3 pages of their "sound moderators". MM1, MM2.

The threads are ½" x20. What is not shown is the short run of an
MM1 with no baffles, just a 'snorkel' procuring into the can
from the front cap. Original P&H no longer in business. The new
cans are not the quality of the 1935 classics.

Best.

My 1968 copy 'Green Menace' has been well thumb through. :)

Evaluation of .22 Parker-Hale/French-Copy evaluated.

British eBay is selling replacement baffles. Such a quaint and
marginal design.

Reviewing notes taken in 'back room' at PH in 1960s:
MM1 had an I.D. ¾' ... dropped US penny in and it was as perfect fit. Joked that with
a punch die and copper penny the disc baffles could be made.
