moving across state line with suppressor

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

moving across state line with suppressor

Post by cedwards04 »

i am moving across state lines (suppressor friendly state) and have a trust for my suppressors. i have been trying to do some reading online to see if i am required to fill out a form 20 and am unclear. it appears from what i have read that i am not required to fill out a form 20 if all i have are suppressors, but i am required if i have something such as a sbr or machine gun (which i do not have). can anyone clarify this for me?

No 5320.20 is required for temporary or permanent transportation of suppressors.

All other NFA items require an approved .5320.20 before transporting them across state lines.
