Can a .30 Cal Suppressor be used on a Rimfire?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Can a .30 Cal Suppressor be used on a Rimfire?

Post by MMH »

I wan't to get a suppressor for my 300 Blackout. Have not picked teh supressor yet, but will want something that I can put on a .308 & 300WM as well.

I know that rimfires are alot dirtier. Will I be able to use a high power rifle suppressor on a rimfire rifle?

Check out the Banish 30, it comes apart for cleaning and is rated for everything from .17 to 300 Weatherby.

I wouldn't do it. Sounds like a fast way to make it really dirty.
So much has changed since my last form 1

I would suppose it could, but, a rimfire (22lr) is going to be very dirty, alot of lead residue, and you can't "disassemble" most center fire cans to clean it.
Also, because of the size of the bore, you may not get much suppression with a 30 cal can on 22lr.
