The original Ruger .22 Standard pistols had a safety that also locked the slide. I know the Vietnam era ones built by MAC for the government with an integral silencer used a slide lock. I assume they just modified the gun to disable the safety part of it so that when the safety is pushed up it locks the slide but still allows the trigger to pull.
Anyone know anything about this? I want to do the same to my MAC Ruger Standard clone.

Re: Ruger Standard slide lock
Figured it out. The Standard safety is different than the Mark 1 on and it has an integral bolt lock . Disable the sear block by grinding the part of the safety that engages the sear and the bolt lock still works.
