Hitman's silenced para-ordinance P18-9

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Hitman's silenced para-ordinance P18-9

Post by sammo »

I am currently working on obtaining my own set of pistols which are used in the new movie "hitman".
I am having trouble finding the silencers that are on his guns.
Here is one picture of them

I'm very new to Silencers and am wondering where i can get those, or if there are similar ones avaliable.

They look like they are just props to me, but they might be wipe cans.

They are way too small even for wipe cans

Yeah, most likely. Do a search for handgun cans.

Find 2 AMT Hardballers and get .22 kits for both and then get a pair of _______ .22 silencers hard chromed and that's as close as you'll get. If you get both pistols and silencers hard chromed at the same time they'll match a lot better than if you don't. Good Luck

Video game style :D I didn't know AMT was a real brand. I thought it was a made up airsoft gun, and Eidos decided to put them in the game.

AMT

Post by David Hineline »

AMT had a few owners, and a few locations, they ended up in South Dakota.

They were famous for the 357 and 44 Automag the later of which Dirty Harry used in one of his movies. Later the company tried to re-coup on the fame of the Automag by using it in cheaper configurations, The Automag II was 22mag, they made a 30 carbine, but thier best gun ever was the AutoMag 5 in 50AE that was a nice gun.

The AMT company also made a 10-22 rifle clone called the AMT Lightning.

I know a guy who makes wet cans about that size in .45...he is a SOT in Athens Georgia....all the ones I have seen have been black, but no doubt other finishes are options...

I was pretty excited when i saw the movie too cause I already have a P14-45 in stainless. What makes you think they are 18-9s and not 14-45s or 16-40s? I guess it dosent really matter, its just a movie. I still need to go but another on though so I can be like 47!!

if you wanted stainless cans, you'll probably have to go with a smaller custom company. one that will special make them for you in SS. problem is that they will be heavier and you'll have a harder time getting the gun to cycle.

You might be able to mirror polish a nice aluminum can to achive the stainless look and keep the weight down.

As has been mentioned, just because they are in a film, doesn#t mean they exist or would work if they did.

As for AMT (Arcadia Machine Tools), I've got 2 of their pistols on order from Canada at the moment. They are called the 'Back Up models' and are in .22LR and .380ACP. They are 2nd hand, not new.

haha yea same here, i looked at the same 2 pictures until I somehow read Para-ordinance off it, and i took a guess at the P18-9 its the only thing that fit. All i could see is P1(x)-(x). Educated guess.

I could have sworn one 1911 he used in the movie was a Colt 70 series. I thought for sure I saw a close up.

The Hitman game series features AMT Hardballers.

Here is mine. My dad has the Mk II Copy. He also has a Hardballer. Good gun. Almost an exact copy of the Colt.

Yea. They are Para wide bodies for sure. I guess caliber is a mater of speculation.

Speaking of AMT Hardballers I have one and I wouldn't sell for any amount of money, it shoots 1 inch groups all day @ 25 yards if I do my part with the right ammo, I love it and baby it.
I bought it new when I lived in Vermont and forget how much I paid for it, it was about 23 to 25 years back and I'd shoot it in my back yard where I had a 25 yard range.

I had to call the wife over to show her that wallpaper of Tim Oliphant, he played the insane sheriff on Deadwood who loved to beat people with his fists, he had hair, mustache and goatee, he looks much younger with out any hair, he was also in the last Die Hard movie with Bruce Willis, played the bad guy there also.

The AMT Small Game Hunter II in stainless with bull barrel was my first 10/22 type rifle when I was a kid. The guy sold it to my dad and me for 180$ 18yrs ago. Best damn squirrel killer I've ever owned. AMT got sued by ruger and had to stop producing them. I'd never sell mine for anything. Ok well maybe a full meal deal KAC SASS.

I carry an AMT .380 backup everyday . mine the single action , the DA is know for having very heavy trigger pulls .

an AL supresor with wipes in 9mm shot wet may work . and Al can be polished pretty decently . it does scratch pretty easily .

Image

any decent small SOT could make you a couple out of either SS or Al if you can't do it yourself . if you really want this setup , send me a PM .

I just got done watching that movie. The "cans" were nothing more than some hollyqueer pieces of cut off tubbing. I thought they actually looked kind of dumb as skinny as they were. Stupid hollyqueers! It really only helps the common sheeples image that "silencers are only designed for one thing, killing people." Do you know how many sheeple I've heard say that over and over again??
