After shooting a few P22's at the Sept 07 shoot, I was not impressed by them. I had a lot of blowback. I have a buckmark and love it. A 10/22 and 77/22 are next on my list. However the lever action 96/22 has lots of potential...... hhmmmm
Going a little more discrete here due to some of my opinions...

I've owned a lot of pistol hosts. The only one that I've still got is the CZ Kadet. The various .22 conversion kits are pretty good, but I'm not a big fan of swaping things around on the range. That is why I built up a frame for the Marvel kit.
My Marvel 1911 kit is getting replaced by a Tac Sol kit from Grant this week. The blowback from the Marvel, lack of last round mag hold-open, and hard to find mags are why I got rid of it. It was easily the most accurate handgun I have owned. The Tac Sol kit is supposed to remedy most of those problems.
IMO the P22 is junk. The Mosquito is a slight improvement. Some people like them. To each his own.
The Advantage Arms Glock kits are nice. I had an older kit that I couldn't get to run with anything but Rem Golden Bullets so I let it go. I think I'll try out another one on a G19 frame one day.
The Beretta 87 Target is a great host. Ready for optics, great factory sights, and a good trigger. I didn't care for the mags. The grip felt a little small in my hands as well. Nothing wrong with it at all, it just wasn't for me. People like their regular 87's as well.
The Beretta factory .22 conversion kit was great as well. Extremely reliable with all kinds of ammo. Got rid of my Beretta, or I would still have it.
If Sigs are your thing, their .22 conversion should be out on the market. They should be interesting threaded. I would want one on a P229 or 228.

Does not lQQk bad at all.. did a real good job.. does that can come apart for cleaning?Conqueror wrote:I originally asked for no grooves, but then I saw a photo of the new design with grooves and asked david for a change. He was very gracious in accomodating the request since he had already built the can and was about to ship it.

Whitney
I have done a few of these, it has it's plusses and it's minnusses
NFA shooters blow their load with only one pull of the trigger.
WOW
Has anyone done any of the lever guns yet?
I've been wanting to see some lever guns done in any caliber...
22, 44, 357, whatever.
I'd like to see the "traditional" styles like the winchester/marlins.

Ahh....saw one of those at a local gun show yesterday. It's an olympic Arms Wolverine right? It caught my attention because the barrel is pre-threaded. Very lightweight and inexpensive......how's it function????David Hineline wrote:I have done a few of these, it has it's plusses and it's minnusses
Go Hoos!!!!
shot the Sig Mosquito yesterday at my C3 dealership with a SWR Warlock, I think it was, and concluded..."now that is a sweet ass setup." I've shot the P22 with a silencer and it was so small I couldn't get over how little the gun was. The Mosquito felt like a real pistol.
DEFINITELY my choice...though those are the only two I've tried.
