General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.
Where is the best place to buy anti-seize, and what exactly is it called? I asked three people about it at Lowe's, and they all looked at me like I was an alien.

Nooooo! Not the big jar! Those contain enough Anti-Sieze to coat half of Texas -- maybe most of Texas.
That s--t goes a loooong way.
Maybe but you'll never need those little packet that you leave most of it in when you are finished! What do they call it...Tmp-1 or something like that?
I don't have a silencer (yet) but has anyone tried the spark plug antiseeze that comes in a crayon type form? Its silver colored and works great for plugs lol
What are you using it for? I assume for either a flash or sound suppessor?
You might try powdered graphite. If your looking for Copper shield,Nickel-shield or N1000 you could try Grainger. http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/pr ... ricants%2C
Make sure if you choose a copper based anti-seize compound, that you don't try to use it in a marine environment, electrolysis will occur with the salt water.
I like a nickel based, high temperature anti-seize because it works well in all my applications.
