General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.
I have an old deer rifle in .44 mag. It is a Ruger I think but I can't remember (currently it's at my dads place, haven't seen it in years). It's an auto, holds four plus one and is a great rifle. I've been thinking of sending it in and making it an integral. Any thoughts? Would this make a good carbine suppressed weapon?

These semi auto rifles seem much more available than the bolt action gun, yet no one sets them up with silencers, I can only assume there is a reason not to, so I have avoided doing it. Perhaps we are all missing the boat and they are the greatest thing never built.
NFA shooters blow their load with only one pull of the trigger.

Most like super quiet over semi quiet you get from a auto.
I got to hear a 45acp single shot contender with the AAC EVO45 and
it was very quiet compared to a semi auto with the same can
Doug at SRT will do the ruger semi 44 mag.
The semi auto may be prone to ejection port noise and or crud blown back in your face. I have a 96-44 (Ruger's 44mag lever action) that I bought to use as a suppressor host. Should be nearly as fast as the semi auto but as quiet as the bolt action.
