Anyone here shoot through a AWC Archangel T?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Anyone here shoot through a AWC Archangel T?

Post by Fireman1291 »

I just bought one my store had in stock as the wait for the aviator was to long. I couldnt believe how light that thing was. I shot through it in the back of the store into a bullet trap indoors but I really couldnt judge how loud it would be outdoors with cci subsonic. The bullet hitting the trap was too loud.

I don't have the Archangel, I do have a High Standard with a integral AWC suppressor. Very quiet.

Yes but I think that is ported internally so it cannot be compared. Also it reduces the velocity.

I have an Archangel Ti.
It was my first can and I still love it. I was so impressed with it that I bought one of their .223 Raiders (mistake)
It is very quiet but I also have a Spectre and it is just a hair quieter than the Archangel but not enough to worry about.
The only reason I got the Spectre was so I could take the can apart for cleaning since I have a full auto .22
The Archangel stays on my kids bolt action .22 now.
You won't be sorry, it was a good purchase and tough as nails. With the titanium construction you don't have to worry about damaging the can with cleaning.

AWESOME! I feel good about the purchase. My next can will be a take apart can, but i couldnt pass this one up.

Would you be so so kind as to post pics or video to keep my happy until my F4 gets approved? lol

Just for a clarification. No-it wasn't ported. The barrel was reduced to 3 1/2 inches. The rest is the suppressor.

Fireman, I have a friend who has one. It is quite. I heard it fired next to an amphibian, and the archangel was quieter to my ears. I don't have any other 22 cans to reference it with however. I am waiting on my Spectre. All I can say is that it is an effective can and you could shoot without getting the attention of your neighbors.

Why don't you like your Raider? I own one and really like it.

The Raider is a solid can but it is heavier, not as quiet and generates more blowback compared to my M42K. My previous post was with the benefit of hindsight. Now information is much easier to come by compared to when I got the can.(5 years ago)
It sits on the shelf now.
I am planning on getting a registered reciever M16 and will most likely put it on an upper to be abused and just leave it there.

Nice.

Im thinking about the surefire suppressor for my AR15's. The M&P15 VTAC I have on order already comes with the surefire QD flash hider too. So I would only need 1 more for my other AR.

My Archangel T is one of my favorites along with Titan3, primarily because of their feather weight. Now don't everybody get their panties in a wad, but to my ears, there is really not a lot of difference, when shooting wet, between cans these days. Basically a function of number of baffles. Their all pretty quiet. Now if you're talking a full auto (AM-180) rated application, then Spectre is the can to beat in my opinion.

Sorry but no video. I am envious of your first schoolboy BJ. When I was a schoolboy you were fortunate to cop a booby feel or if you were extremely lucky, a HJ. usually went home with a terminal case of BB's

hahaha ROFL.

Well I went with a coworker to the shop so he could pick up his 1st AR15 and while I was there I had to snap a picture of the suppressor on my P22.

Either you or I should have layed off the Patrone a little earlier last night as I'm seeing double with your pic's this morning.
