General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

Very crisp picture! Bushmaster went the whole nine yards with all the best stuff attached to the ACR, hope hits the market soon.

It's a Remington hat, unless you know that Bushmaster dropped the project and it's now under Remington MPD????

Thought I was going crazy when I saw that on the AACBLOG last night.
So is it now officially a Remington ACR?

There is both a Bushmaster and Remington ACR. Remington is the higher-end military version. This is a Remington.

What's the difference? Remington stamp instead of Bushmaster? The MPD version have all the nasty "assault weapon" fetures and the Bushmaster going to be a watered down civilian version?

I'm holding out buying another .556 rifle. I think the next one I get will be one of these.... if or whenever they are available.
I like the name "Remington ACR" ALOT better than the name "Bushmaster ACR". If Remington/Bushy ever won a .mil contract for these, I'd think it'd be alot more traditional for our troops to carry a Remington into battle than a Bushmaster.
Either way... it's one sexy rifle.

too bad they dropped the integral flip-up front sight, otherwise it looks great. Maybe they'll actually bring this thing to market before hell freezes over.

It's a shame Magpul could not have brought this to market on their own.
At least Remington's ad does not pretend it's a deer rifle....yet.

It was more limiting and didn't provide the user with an option.

I will be in love if they sell the 10.5" to civilians - or at least if their distributors/dealers do.
