Hi Everyone,
Here is a couple pics of my 762SD can that I won a while back in the AAC photo contest. Thank You AAC!! Its mounted on my Springfield M1a 18 inch rifle. It shoots really good, but I haven't shot it for accuracy yet. I remember reading in previous posts that the M1a has a lot of gas blow back. It does, so I'm going to buy a Schuster gas plug this week to see if that will help.

I really want one of these rifles. I've read here and heard elsewhere that it takes a lot to set up for suppression without damaging the rifle. How much is involved exactly? What has to be done or added to it, etc?
"Your" does not equal "You're", the contraction for "You are".

sonanth,
From all my reading about suppressing the M1a platform, I think the only thing you have to be careful of is damaging the op rod. That's why people recommend using an adjustable gas plug/nut. Schuster makes one that is adjustable. You just use a allen wrench to adjust the amount of gas "flow". Another company called McCann (I think that's how its spelled) makes a plug that uses different inserts. I personally don't like that idea. I wouldn't want to loose one of the inserts. The rifle shoots really good, there just seems to be a lot of gas blow back. I think the Schuster will help, I hope
One last thing, I changed out the front site to a Smith Enterprise Gas Lock Front Sight. I think that with the standard sight that was on there, the suppressor mount would hit it. Now with this sight, there's no chance of that.
Hope this helps.

Here is a close up shot of the front sight and mount and below that is a pic of my AR10 that I'm going to try it out with. I just need to find a bolt carrier group and buy a AAC mount.
