Yeah I'd also like to see some pics of the new mono core.
Also where it threads onto the barrel, are those threads aluminum or is there a steel or stainless insert?
If they are aluminum, will these threads wear over time and strip under repetition of firing?
Very interested in this silencer but kinda worried about the threads if they are aluminum.

We generally try not to post to many pics of our cores. I'm sure one will pop up of the Poseidon core pretty soon though.
As for the aluminum thread issue, we have ABUSED our demo/prototype/shop cans purposefully and threaded them on and off hundreds of times and have yet to cross-thread or strip the rear endcap threads on one of our suppressors.
We have even gone so far as to fire a Poseidon .45 with a Poseidon 9mm front endcap on it to test the integrity of the threads. We fired 5 rounds of 230 grain .45 ball through a 9mm bore hole. It actually stripped the jackets off of the lead core and extruded the bullets through the front endcap leaving the stripped jackets inside the suppressor. Neither the front endcap, tube threads, or muzzle threads were damaged, and that Poseidon .45 is still our demo can. The 9mm Poseidon front endcap that we used is still on our Poseidon 9mm demo can. So what I'm saying here is that aluminum threads are not an issue.
Of course, if you do manage to bugger the rear endcap threads on your TM can, the rear endcap can be easily replaced because our cans come apart.

I dont want detailed pics, I'm just curious how the end caps attach since you changed the design to replace the front wipe quicker.Brooks@Thompson Machine wrote:We generally try not to post to many pics of our cores. I'm sure one will pop up of the Poseidon core pretty soon though.
It sounds like you've designed a well built suppressor that I just can't pass up. Sending an e-mail now to place an order.

I'd only do it as a last resort if it is not broke don't fix it. I never looked into that thread pitch either, it may not even be possibleLindenwood wrote:I'd be nervous to helicoil such a precision part!

Tits is supposed to be testing it soon, it will cost you $30 to see the results.
I feel sure it won't be as quiet as a Trident, MultiMount or TiRant.

<edit> Tits == John Titsworth </edit>
If you mean another forum other than silencer research I don't know of one, there is another NFA forum called NFA Talk but AFAIK that one is all free.
Tits has the general silencer research forum but a year or two ago IIRC he started charging $30 for a "premium" membership which gets you access to the newer reviews and shootouts.
There were some free reviews and shootouts available to general access but it seems at least some of the reviews that used to be general access are now part of the premium membership.
