What suppressor model was your first NFA purchase?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

My first was the good old AWC Thundertrap, and that was before I got hooked up with this forum. Still have it and use it on a Rem. 700 PSS with no regrets, but if I had it to do over again, nothing but Titanium for me.

Why? I liked the one I shot a couple of years ago.
I bought it thinking it would be great to be able to get mounts for every host for less than $10. While this is true, the barrel must be smaller than the flash hider for a couple of inches so you can mount it. The bad thing is that you have to get any heavy barrel rifle you want to mount it on profiled, and that can look stupid IMO. It sounds pretty good though, and it does mount very solid which I like.

to sum up my ramblings, it just not as versatile as I thought it would be. I do like it, but if I was going to do it over, I would most likely get the M4 2000

SWR HEMS-II.
"Your" does not equal "You're", the contraction for "You are".

Second was ETS Templar and like them both. Third can is in the planning stages now as well as a SBR.

AWC Amphibian built onto a High Standard Trophy barrel. Great suppressor, very quiet. It is one of three barrel I have for the frame. The conversion looks alot like the old High Standard HD Miltary of WWII fame.

CCF Impuls IIA - strictly because it wouldn't void the HK warranty. Kind of turned me off .45 suppressors though. Now I'm in the process of buying an Osprey 8)
