Re: rpd m10 9mm suppressor pics of internals and disssembl
there was some lead inside the eyelets, i threw them in the tumbler to see if they will clean up some. some of the holes on the 1st stage shaft, were almost completely plugged, I may try drilling them larger like you suggest, it makes sense. how dense would you suggest rolling the hardware cloth on a dowel, something like a 1/8" rod, tightly wrap the screen on it until it barely fits in the can? There is so much lead buildup inside the can, its going to take forever to scrape it out. im excited to hear it after i get it spotless. i have a two pack of an unknown scouring pad, it looks like the chore-boy stuff, its shiny and silver, not sure if its stainless or not, might have to water test a small section to see if it rusts. Do you guys think packing the hardware cloth or scouring pads in tightly would be more effecient than the oreo arrangement of eyelets and and pads, that I was originally thinking of? Is there a posibility that I could make it too restricted in the 1st chamber and cause a pressure concern? I was surprised to see that the inside of the 2nd tube was anodized, but it doesn't look like the inside of the 1st chamber is.

It doesn't have to be perfect for it to work, I used a 3/4" wood dowel and made the first wrap tight, it takes a good bit of fooling around to get it nice and round, then just roll it up , if you have too much just clip a bit off at a time until it fits in the expansion chamber and goes through the barrel extension....
As for the holes I forget what size drill I used but I did open it up a size or two and put a few smaller holes in between the ones already there.
Rebuilding cans is a very dirty job.. good luck.

ok, I had a different picture in my head, I thought you were describing a small roll and lay it in the bottom of the can in a circle, then stack the next 3/4" thick roll on top of that, I was thinking about 5 rolls total to fill it to the top and clipping the end of it to make the length just perfect for in inside diameter of the can. After reading this, I think maybe your explaining like a roll of tp that just slips over the barrel extension and is one roll that fills the void and touches the inner wall of the chamber. Ahh, so many choices. Thanks so much for the help, its much appreciated.
