So I've now got my compact package with my Bobcat and Wasp, and I've got a nice full-size plinker package with my Buckmark and Spectre, so I'm thinking I need to pick up an integral Ruger sometime in the near future. I'm looking for options because I don't really know what they are. I know AWC makes one, and I think there's some others. May I get a few suggestions and some opinions on the ones you have? I'd like whatever it is to be user-serviceable, if that's possible on these pistols.
Also, will an integral Ruger be quieter than my Buckmark/Spectre combo?

Best Ruger "Mark" Integral?

AWC is way behind the times and over priced IMHO. Do a search on this site and you will find several good threads about Integral Ruger options.FSCJedi wrote:I know AWC makes one, and I think there's some others.
No unless you port it to pellet gun velocities. Thread ons are every bit as good as intregrals today. Integrals are more discreet.FSCJedi wrote:Also, will an integral Ruger be quieter than my Buckmark/Spectre combo?
Re: Best Ruger "Mark" Integral?
I have GEMtech oasis p and AWC amphibian ii
The AWC is much quieter, but the oasis (w/ 22/45 lower) is so freaking lightweight it's scary. It's almost looks factory length.
Neither is user serviceable. However, liberty will convert them (wait until u fill them up)
The new Yankee Hill mark is user serviceable. Yhm.net
Srt and a few others are considered premium versions as well.
If u ever plan on selling, avoid a non namebrand. But I'm sure there are many small
Manu versions that are just as good.

AAC is supposed to be getting into them again. I would wait and see if they release anything at SHOT.

Re: Best Ruger "Mark" Integral?
I've been shooting Ceiner's integrally suppressed Ruger MK 2 KMK 10 for 18 years now. I've rebuilt it 4 or 5 times. If I were to buy another integral, I would make sure that it can be taken apart. I would then take it apart before shooting it and assemble it using LOTS of Never Seize. I waited too long to rebuild it the first time and the job was hell. Now it's easy and is as quiet as new each time. Just a thought. Jack.

Re: Best Ruger "Mark" Integral?
I absolutely love Ruger integrals but could never justify spending the cash on one since the can can't be stuck on anything else..In fact they were my favorite suppressed gun by far. The only benefit of one is the sight radius which you could always glue the front site to the end insted of the middle like I did here..A little aluminum tape wrapped around the barrel and a piece of tube cut to the right length and you've got your "integral" that you can still use on anything else you want to. This is my steel Kodiak here. And on top of things with the stamp this setup will cost you a grand. Cheaper if you get a used Mark 2 and just clean it up yourself. Just a thought I'd toss out there as an option.

That's the first non-integral, integral-looking Ruger I've seen that I actually like.

You can always get creative. The MK III's at least come drilled and tapped for a weaver rail (which is also included). You could add some sort of rail riser/extension to that and go as long as you like with whatever rail mountable irons you want.Chondro wrote:The only benefit of one is the sight radius which you could always glue the front site to the end insted of the middle like I did here..A little aluminum tape wrapped around the barrel and a piece of tube cut to the right length and you've got your "integral" that you can still use on anything else you want to.
