I have been looking for some time now for a suppressor wrap, mainly for cosmetic reasons, but also for ease of handling. The problem I have is I've only found one company that offers alot of info and prices for their wraps. I am asking for some help in finding other companies perhaps or websites for companies that offer these wraps. I have asked for info from the above mentioned company, for them to only email me that the certain product I was asking about was not available at present and no further info would be available. Thank you in advance and all info is very much appreciated.

Subgun? Rifle? Rimfire? Pistol?

The caliber and use of the silencer have a lot to do with whether or not you can put a cover on a silencer. Like say a bolt gun with a 5.56 or .308 silencer would be just fine with a cover. But an M16 or 240 would just melt most silencer covers. Subgun silencers will do just fine as they don't get super hot like a CF rifle can.

This would be for an AR platform .223

There are no suppressor wraps that are designed for the AR15 platform because the rapid firing would melt the wrap. They do make it for a bolt gun though and those are nice!

But those aren't useable on AR15's firing rapid fire, think it even says on their website not to.

Yea, he did say AR but I wasn't sure how fast he was shootin' it. They are fairly durable and take more heat than you'd think. I find that if I slide the cover back over onto the barrel when I'm not shooting, it lets the can cool down MUCH more quickly than simply leaving the cover on the can. But training/classes or mag dump type shooting would be a definite no-no.

If you have an awl, waxed ( appropriate in another sense? ) thread, you can take a swath of scrap suede or leather to easily
stich a sleeve. Also makes handling safer after firing.

An added benefit is that it makes the can look like a handle of a valise for discrete transportation.

They have outstanding customer service and I've done 20rd rapid fire strings with mine on my ar15 spr and its fine.

It kills heat mirage so well I can't stand to shoot without it.

I've got one of the TAB covers (riflesonly.com) on my AR-15 SPR. It works great, but I don't rapid fire it. But just like Fireman1291 said, a string of 20 rounds is no problem for mine. I have both of the covers they make and I do NOT like the one with velcro down the length of it. The other one fits much better, much tighter.

Yeah they have a new version that may not be listed but you can request via comment box. The SAS3 it's custom fit to your can( no Velcro) but the ends of the outer shell aren't tucked in as they will melt to a hot can if they do. It's a great design and I haven't had any problems with it.

well after all the help I recieved I decided to go with riflesonly.com They have already contacted to me twice to make sure the measurements were correct for my can. Thank you again for the great ideas and as a new member I know i will frequent this site for all my questions and posts.
