that can is like .15 thick CM pretty much bulletproof, any lead hitting the internals just fragments/evaporates, would not do it with a AL can however

Ok, I have to ask...
So you attached the suppressor to a .22 and shot the baffles of the suppressor with the .22 and that broke apart the bullet??

It seems like the round was in the way of the bore and the 22lr striking the side of the jacket blew it apart... enough to get out the pieces. The round was wet from all the work to float and wash it out that it did not go off.
