My first time owning an NFA item. I did paperwork about 10 weeks ago and today my dealer was happy to inform me my stamps arrived.
I picked up three suppressors. An Osprey 40, Quicksilver 9mm and Quicksilver .223 Titanium.
Looking forward to putting them to use.

I'd like to see pics too... but I believe the OP.jppd47 wrote:pics or it didnt happen
I sent in a suppressor form 4 in early December & an SBR form 1 in early January.
Both have been pending since mid and late January, respectively.
I usually get approvals within 8 weeks on my pending dates (depending on the examiner) which will put me at 12-13 weeks.
So I see 10 weeks as plausible.
BTW OP - Who was the examiner(s) on your forms?

choice of quality products and your good fortune to have had a diligent civil servant
( as the majority of them are! ) handling your files.
I hope you are considering asking your examiner how to send their section chief
your letter of appreciation for her/his efficiency and quality of customer service you received.
Folks on this site are a class act and it shows each day.
Again, many happy and hearing-preservation years of shooting.

I knew if I didn't include some pics it'd rile you guys up.... so, ask and you shall receive.
My examiner was Dana Pickles. Could be a man or woman with that first name, but the signature appears to be written by a male.
In two weeks I get papers started on a YHM Phantom Ti for .308 and a Silencerco Sparrow Stainless. I'm already addicted.

Re: Three stamps came in today
SWEET!!
I have one I just mailed in for my Multi cal .357 Mystic, and one on a form 3 to my dealer a SS Sparrow.
I love my 45 Osprey. You will like the .40 Osprey it will serve you well on a 9 mm as well as the .40 It's worth having the 2 pistons.

The Elite grips are nice. I like the feel of my P-220 Elite. The SRT is what I really like. I want to upgrade my S4 P-226 to have the Short Reset Trigger. (that and the right height front sight)Chondro wrote:Hey very cool! I normally don't run those grips on it. I normally have Crimson Trace grips on it but I had to send it to Sig two weeks ago to have the front sight replaced. It was too tall from the factory. They said don't send it in with any aftermarket stuff on it so I put the stock grips back on and haven't switched it back yet.
Shot the Osprey today and wow... it's quiet. Shot it with both Sig P229 and S&W M&P9 as hosts. The Osprey 40 on the S&W M&P9 is alot more suppressed than the Quicksilver 9mm. The Quicksilver is better than no suppressor at all but it's still loud. The Osprey 40 is insane quiet.
Here's a video from today.

Re: Three stamps came in today
First of three (or four) Form 4 applications mailed today. One other in Form 3 approval. One in manufacture.
I remember this part from before ... in 1987 it took for bloody ever ... months and months and months. With the hassle of a then required state permit it was 13 months overall. In 1996 it was very quick ... a matter of less than a month if I remember correctly.
Best to just put it in the back of your mind and let it be a surprise when it happens.
