Is a speeding ticket going to mess up my form 4?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Is a speeding ticket going to mess up my form 4?

Post by libertyman777 »

I've got a form 4 that will go pending any day. It actually could be pending right now I haven't checked lately. Received a speeding ticket in a small town in Tennessee last week. 2 to 3 point violation depending if TN applies their point system to a AL license or if I they go by the AL point system.

I'll be mailing the fine in per the printed instructions. I don't think there's going to be an issue but I though I would ask.

If it's not a felony speed (as in eluding, with a little reckless op thrown in) it will have no impact on your transfer.

No, but if you have any cavities at your dental appointment while waiting to be approved... you're in trouble.

I'd guess if it's like guns, non-violent and non-threatening misdemeanors would be ok.

GCA '68 also forbids people with ANY conviction that COULD have resulted in sentences of longer than 1 year. So there are probably quite a few misdemeanors that could screw up your ability to own guns.

That is generally correct, in most states.

Unless you were going 150 in a 35 I wouldn't worry about it.
