I agree. And i think this is a cool option for someone that wants to convert their sealed can.saltydecimator wrote:and, be it known, no-one is dogging aac, i feel like we are just playing the hand we have been dealt. they make a dang fine product, and SRI is just filling in the gaps.

Have any Evo 9s been done yet? Would like to hear some feedback on the results as I'm interested in getting in on this.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you check page 2, there are pictures of an Evo 9.FL_Tactical wrote:Have any Evo 9s been done yet? Would like to hear some feedback on the results as I'm interested in getting in on this.

I'm getting mine done, and I believe JohnNH is as well.

Chris is right, on page 2 there are 2 pictures that I posted of a stainless Evo9 baffle as well as a Evo9 that was jailbroken that is one of the Evo's we use for R&D.
There have been plenty of Evo9's done, and even more inbound with this groupbuy, I think somewhere in the neighborhood or 6 or 8.
What results are you looking for?
Can the end user service it themselves? YES.
Are owners happy that they can maintain their gear? YES.
Jailbreaking is not by a new thing by far, been done for quite awhile. There are hundreds of cracked Evo's out there!
We still have some time to get you in on the groupbuy as it was extended through Monday evening due to the holiday, so if you want in and have more questions please email me directly for a faster response at [email protected]

Re: Jailbreak Groupbuy!!!! 215 returned!
Matt,
How many people are signed up? Just curious what the overall interest was and to see if 3-4 weeks is still feasible for turn around time. Thanks!

Eric
There is around 15 people signed up(still waiting to hear from a couple people on this forum) and hopefully another couple will join in before it ends tonite.
The 3-4 weeks turnaround as quoted is still valid for the jailbreaks. Hopefully we will be able to get them outbound sooner. Extra baffles and cores will be done after the group buy concludes(as stated before.)
To anyone that has signed up for this groupbuy. PLEASE SEND YOUR CANS IN ASAP. We don't want stragglers coming in weeks after it ends. The turnaround is 3-4 weeks from the time the cans get to the shop, that doesn't mean if its sent in at the end of the 3rd week that it will be a 1 week turnaround. Just wanted to make sure that everyone is clear on that(recvd an email asking this very question)!
If anyone has any questions please post it here or email me.

Just found out about this and sent an email as specified. I'll be sending in my AAC Pilot...it will be nice to be able to just shoot it and not worry as much about buildup.

Re: Jailbreak Groupbuy!!!! 215 returned!
Here are some pics of some progress.
Pics are....fresh from the tube stack and closeup of the blast baffle, and then the stack with a cleaning and a closeup of the cleaned baffle.
These pics are NOT IN THE ORDER carcked/done, only the order in which we put them online.
In order to protect privacy we are identifying the cans by make and the last 2 of their serial number. If you don't know what your can's serial number is look on your Form4 and keep watching for your number to show up.
Here goes, will post a few each day.
----------
First up is a M9QD!
Blast baffle as it came out......
Blast baffle after a light cleaning.....
Baffle stack as it came out.....

Next up is an Evo with serial number ending in 93.....

Re: Jailbreak Groupbuy!!!! 215 returned!
Not knowing the term jailbreak, I never looked at this thread until today.
Have y'all done a Gemtech Multimount? Any pictures?
Any issues?
Have you done a SS blast baffle for a MM? Is it identicle to the original, except for material?
I have maybe 2,000-2,500 rounds though mine, and it looks better thwn the one above.
Guess I am going to have to pay full price.

Some of these are a little different angles than the first, one of the guys took the pics, but it still gets the point across!

SO glad I did this! Those last two got a good cleaning. Are those an example of older vs newer Evo cores? They look different.
Can't wait to get mine back. Been doing some reloading for it

Yup old versus new Evo baffles. The newer ones are like mini TiRant baffles! Pretty sweet!FL_Tactical wrote:SO glad I did this! Those last two got a good cleaning. Are those an example of older vs newer Evo cores? They look different.

The cleaned baffles still have little bits of carbon on them. Think that can ever come off?

Actually, the EVO baffles were the inspiration for the TiRant.Bendersquint wrote:Yup old versus new Evo baffles. The newer ones are like mini TiRant baffles!
