I just found a list of which examiners handle which states!
I dont know if this has already been discussed, but I just found this and thought I would share for the people who dont know.
GEOGRAPHIC DISTRIBUTION OF NFA APPLICATIONS FOR PROCESSING BY ATF
The ATF National Firearms Act (NFA) Branch is pleased to announce that as of July 2011, ATF Forms 1, 2, 10 and ATF Form 5320.20 will be assigned to a legal instruments examiner for processing according to the State of the applicant's address. The NFA Branch also will begin assigning ATF Forms 3, ATF Form 4 and 9 applications to examiners by the State of the transferor's address. Applications already pending at the time of the change will continue to be processed by the examiner to whom they were previously assigned. Historically, applications in the NFA Branch have been assigned to legal instruments examiners alphabetically based on the name of the transferor or applicant. A chart showing the new assignment distribution is below.
The ATF expects this change in the assignment of applications to better enable NFA examiners to develop State law expertise and more knowledgeably and effectively respond to our customers during an era of unprecedented and ever increasing application volume. Please contact the NFA Branch at 304-616-4500 with any questions about this change.

Re: I just found a list of which examiners handle which stat
I'm betting that the ATF distributed the number of states per examiner based both on legal similarities between the states and the number of forms coming from those states. For example Georgia and South Carolina both have a large numbers of forms coming from them so Santamaria ends up with the same workload as say Shipman, who has nine states to cover. So really it doesn't matter how fast an examiner was before, because now their workload has completely changed and hopefully been evenly distributed.

If the info is correct at the bottom of the page, I should get my stamp any day. Actually should have already got it.
Looks like Lamberger is not far behind Pickles.
Re: I just found a list of which examiners handle which stat
Hey thanks for the list!! Now this doesn't look to be set up quite fair..Had it been set up this way in 2010 Dudash would have handled 2145 form 4's and Farris 729..Thats just form 4's for Cans..granted the SBR's and SBS's are pretty high as well but PA is brutal for SBR's..Hell and machineguns..Well PA is was the biggest of the four and the residents here are cheap..maybe things have slowed down..
Couldn't have lasted long..Shipman handled my last 5 or 6 and was kicking ass and taking names..

Well at least Sara Jones has ONLY 2 states to keep up with. And it helps when You actually ARE the keeping up with the Joneses with a Jones NO Weapons Firearms Trust. OK, Ms. Sara, I'm counting on my SDN-6 stamp by Labor Day? starlingstalker
Ban weapons, not firearms!
It may ONLY be a dollar but its STILL a Sux Tax!

Sara has done all 7 of my NFA items. All have been in a trust and have been in the 14-15 week range. I am in Tennessee. Looks like I have a new guy now.starlingstalker wrote:Well at least Sara Jones has ONLY 2 states to keep up with. Re: I just found a list of which examiners handle which stat
My bank NFA debit went thru on July 25 so I guess it's a bit of a stretch to get that stamp delivered by Labor Day even with the new reorganization and Texas as easy for NFA purchases? Well, I guess it'll be Thanksgiving for being thankful for ANOTHER NFA item.gr8smiles wrote:Sara has done all 7 of my NFA items. All have been in a trust and have been in the 14-15 week range. Still pulling for Ms. Sara though. Can she labor a bit by Labor Day? At least I can hope...

Looks like I get Sandra Snook.
Re: I just found a list of which examiners handle which stat
Snooki as I like to call her. I imagine she's going to be seeing a ton of paperwork from Washington these next few months.

This list was supposed to be in effect July first, but even before this shuffle, no list has ever been set in stone
Re: I just found a list of which examiners handle which stat
I am from Kansas and Nicky Dudash is my examiner. So the list is not so accurate.

Re: I just found a list of which examiners handle which stat
There going to bounce around a bit I'm sure..But for all the dealers I know the list is right on with the State and examiner. Shipman did my last 5-6 cans and the two pending now that the checks were cashed in July are with Dudash. By the looks of the list they picked from a hat and Jones got the short straw..She was quick too..

We have Lamberger now, at least that list makes me think he's really cranking them out.

The change is as of July 1, so odds are no one has a form four back from their new examiner yet.edteach wrote:I am from Kansas and Nicky Dudash is my examiner. So the list is not so accurate.

Re: I just found a list of which examiners handle which stat
The list is incorrect! I just got off the phone (10/21/2011) with Albert Lamberger (I'm in Alabama). He said he is NOT the examiner for Alabama......Suzanne Santamaria is!. I do not know about any other states.

Since before the switch they started lengthening the wait times.Emilio wrote:Since the switch I now have longer wait time. The Gov efficiency at it's finest.
April, I sent it two can transfers together, I had them three and a half months later.
May, I sent in another can transfer, five months later it was mine.

Her - Christine, but she goes by Chris. I had her for a while. Nice on the phone (to talk to), as quick at clearing forms as the rest.PAIN wrote:What is Chris Farris like? I never dealt with him. Or is it a her??
