Re: SWR acquired by silencerco?
I have a Spectre on order....No wonder its taking so long, Henry must be out spending the money silencerco gave him!
Re: SWR acquired by silencerco?
So that's why there was a picture months ago of both companies meeting at a table in a restaurant somewhere!

Dang.
"Your" does not equal "You're", the contraction for "You are".

Yeah I bet delays of 12 months now if all goes half as planned.este wrote:Yep. Both companies have issues shipping rifle cans so this should be great.
That explains why it was taking so long for the Octane 9 to come out 9 months after shotshow.
Glad I didn't order a can from either one. Can't wait to hear how it goes.
In this economy it's a bad thing to acquire anything big unless you can get it for next to nothin.
I wonder how long before they kick the wives out.

If you're not part of the solution, you're not only "part" of the problem but, you "are" the problem.

Silencerco doesnt have an issue shipping rifle cans, we have an issue with designing new rifle cans.este wrote:Yep. Both companies have issues shipping rifle cans so this should be great.
We have issues shipping everything else.
I am sure SWR deliveries will improve drastically in the near future, they will have an in house machine shop, dedicated machines and in house metal finish for the first time ever.

Re: SWR acquired by silencerco?
Thats not Henry, Henry is the guy behind him. And, we didnt need SWR to help make our deliveries outlandishly long, we were able to accomplish that unenviable feat all by ourselves.Bandit wrote:Yeah I bet delays of 12 months now if all goes half as planned.este wrote:Yep. The outlook is positive however, sparrows are generally available in the market at form length right now and while Osprey is pretty tough right now, new machine investments and more manpower will have Osprey production increased 4x in the very, very near future. On the plus side for SWR, their deliveries should benefit significantly from dedicated machines and more manpower as well. Henry was for the most part, a one man show and now will have much greater resources.

Henry helped me out big time with my Trident 9, even letting me come up to his shop, and getting it firing right one one of my guns.
Best wishes to the new SWRco, or SilenSWR, or whatever you'll be calling yerselfs.

Will SWR/Silencerco still give permission to F1 builders to make omega baffles?

Re: SWR acquired by silencerco?
We are building and shipping cans as normal. The move will slow us down for about a week but there are immediate advantages to this acquisition. The addition of the in house finishing and additional parts production is already speeding things up. If you watch the Silencerco Beginning to End video, you can see some Spectre tubes and endcaps being blackened. Overall delivery times for every product will improve.bikefreek wrote:So is it safe to say SWR has their s--t on pause for the time being?

Re: SWR acquired by silencerco?
Well I hope this truly turns out to be a good thing. Im just a little apprehensive about acquisitions due to the past two companies I worked for being "acquired" then "assimilated" then "disintegrated"!

Re: SWR acquired by silencerco?
I can see production increasing. Does everyone remember how hard it was to get hems2 pistons lately? That's because SWR used to outsource the machine work. Now with the machine power that Sco has, that shouldn't be an issue.
And relax about the rifle cans.....id rather have the bugs worked out and not be a beta tester.....besides it'll only be another 2 weeks!

So with these new resources and extra time for design, Henry will be able to offer the HEMS II hearing-safe baffle stack upgrade we've been begging for?
Seriously though. Charge whatever. We'll pay.

When I need my Warlock cleaned out, who is going to do that? SilencerCo or SWR, and will the price for that service go up or down?

Call SWR. The price is still $130 for a rebuild.

Re: SWR acquired by silencerco?
Both companies represent the best in customer service and professional integrity. Silencerco has changed the rules of the game for the suppressor industry by acquiring a successful company while allowing the company to retain its identity and product line. This model has been used to great success by Blackhawk.
I wish Josh and Henry the best in their future ventures.
I also have to wonder what was said in the board rooms and back rooms of other companies in the industry when they learned of this!
