Having done a few home builds... Most look like an answer to a question that was never asked.
This one however, I would buy! By far one of the best 9mm bolt guns since the Spanish Destroyer carbines!

The magazine feed is totally functional. I was single feeding individual rounds of different brands and loads in the video and the gun won't sit on the rest with a mag in it.jandbj wrote:Have you milled it for the magazine feed yet? I didn't see that in the video.

You nailed me cold there!este wrote:That's really cool.
Just out of curiosity... Wouldn't a manual side / strightpull AR be a lot easier? Instead of using the 9mm blowback bolt, modify the 223 bolt (does it even need it?) and just not use a gas system all on a side charge AR... Hmmm... I may have just cost myself a bit of money right there...
It's apples and oranges to what you have there, just thinking out loud. Really nice good job though.
I am in the parts gathering and design stage of a no gas system, manual cycle, integral suppressor AR-15 in 300 BLK. I have most of the parts but no Form One.
I'm trying to decide on spending my $200 on the AR can Form1 or a SBR for a Beretta PM12S I want to build as a semi auto SBR.
Life is tough!

I so agree!
I've managed to collect about a kit and a half in parts and have most of it figured out.
However, I'm so busy building Goryunov SG-43s for customers that I don't have time to do much on my own projects right now.

Any chance you are building bolt action suomi's for sale? Minus the can and with the takedown feature intact. 4473 then I can start my own form 1 integral build on one.
I think it is one of the neatest parts kit builds I've seen and took a lot of vision to complete!

Sorry - right now I'm about 6 to 9 months backlogged.jandbj wrote:Any chance you are building bolt action suomi's for sale? Minus the can and with the takedown feature intact. 4473 then I can start my own form 1 integral build on one.

I have built about 10 Suomi for folks, in various configurations.
Right now the Goryunov has me snowed.

I'm also a fan of the short recoil spring behind the bolt. Noticed that each time you cycled it.
I can't say enough about this build!
Also, I sent you a PM.

Very nice. I've always wanted to an integral M31 SA but with a lever action. That reminds me to PM madmachinist.
If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing. I can tell a lot of work went in that and the performance was awesome!!!!!

Re: Homebuilt 9mm suppressor and bolt action carbine.
Found this build when searching to see if anyone had done this yet. Looks great.
I was considering doing a single locking lug that is part of the bolt handle, and cross drill the bolt and have the bolt handle slip in and be retained with a cross pin that itself is retained by the pressure of the recoil spring. (I hope you can picture this, I'm not much of an illustrator). That way I can slot the receiver only as far back as is needed to recock the striker or hammer and pick up another round from the magazine. I was planning to use a thicker wall tube for the receiver and only turn it thinner to save weight on the non stressed portion toward the rear.
