General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

And I will get flamed for this, but anyone that uses a can and sub-sonic loads (other than CB caps for pest control) in my opinion is a coward or a criminal looking to get away with something. Unless your special ops, what are you trying to hide. (that your a mall ninga) I know they are legal someplaces with the tax stamp, but what are you trying to hide and why?

Wow.
that guy is so pig headed and close minded that it is sad.

Sounds like a 6.8 fan who can't get over himself. And the kind of gun owner who is ok with his ownership but against the rights of others.

Yes, and almost certainly with a scope. Here is a 20 shot BLK group with iron sights at 100 yards. Oh yeah - shot prone, not benchrested:

It is a five shot group.....the other two rounds missed the target just like his mind set.

As with many hobbies/interest, there are always those that see things through a microscope that's out of focus.

ETA---- Nice group Robert. I like the challenge of irons, just to keep me honest with myself.

What the hell does he need all those BLACK rifles for??? Is he trying to sneak up on someone at night???? What's he trying to hide?

If I was a member of whatever forum this is from, and had the link to that pic posting I'd ask him directily.

It's a jealousy thing plain and simple. All he's talking about is the cost of everything, cost of stamps, cost of suppressors.
Every single one of his guns looks like a cheap POS, with cheap POS optics and cheap POS rings. (Polymer AR lower!?)
He's rationalizing because he can't afford it...

I take a 1010 "KEYHOLE" global point of view when I encounter such statements
meant to raise ire by how they are phrased.

I would wager that this obvious Obama acolyte has tossed Baby Ruth
candy bars into swimming pools to get a reaction. :)

One response is that the reason BATF take so long to process legal applications
for suppressors is that they are checking:

Does the applicant's name end in a vowel, does he live in New Jersey, Philly, or
Ted Kaczynski Idaho? Is the letterhead marked with 'Goodfellas Gentleman's Club'?

Is the lettering on the front of the envelope printed in large block letters written with crayon or pencil?

Well, doggone it, the law must be obeyed and the application is finally approved.

Merry Christmas to all.

Whatever... It's you guys that are the jealous ones.

You never even THOUGHT to run a 16" carbine length pencil barrel non-free floated with rail covers on every inch whether you can fit your hand in there or not AR with a foregrip AND a bipod. No. You didn't think to do that. Only someone so wise, wise enough to make that judgmental first post could think this up. And so that should be.
