WTK: Gemtech Vortex 2 versus Outback 2

I have a stainless Vortex 2, and would like to know if it is quiter or louder than an Outback 2. I know the Outback 2 has the same internals as the Vortex 2. Also, is the Vortex 2 rated for short bursts of fullauto? Thanks for the info. Pecos Bill out.

The Vortex-2 baffle stack was improved to it's current performance sometime around 2001-2002. The Outback II and Seahunter share the same, new and improved, Vortex-2 baffle stack. The Seahunter is louder due to the mounting system. If you have Vortex-2 built after 2001-2002 it should be as quiet as the Outback II. If it is the newer version it should be silent with proper ammo.

You should not use it full-auto.
