ATF continued.......

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

So right at 6 months. I've got another F4 pending so we'll see. I'm not expecting any great improvement in wait times but I hope I'm surprised in a good way.

My first Form 4's have been accepted......now the long wait.

One only took 8 days from check cashed to pending. Isn't that faster than normal? Maybe things are actually speeding up and I'll be a lucky first timer and only have to wait about 5 months to get approved.......everybody hold your breath and cross your fingers for this rookie!

I have 2 of these coming, both with identical dates...
1. NFA Item: Spectre II
2. Form Type: Form 4
3. Transfer Type: Trust
4. Form Sent: ???
5. Check Cashed: 08/27/2012
6. Pending: 09/10/2012
7. Approved: Not soon enough :(
8. Form Received: Too Long from now
9. Examiner: ??? (Do I have to wait to approval to find this out, or can I ask?)

1. NFA Item: Kodiak TL
2. Form Type: Form 4
3. Transfer Type: Trust
4. Form Sent: ???
5. Check Cashed 09/13/2012
6. Pending: 09/21/2012 (This is faster than normal, right???)
7. Approved: Not soon enough :(
8. Form Received: Too Long from now
9. Examiner: ???

Thanks to all of you who have helped get me addicted and excited about silencers!

Thank you fine sir, Sara Jones is my gal as long as she's still got Louisiana. You guys always have the answers to my questions, thoughts, etc......I gather y'all are some smart muthas! :)

Thanks again.

I can't wait to see when they start to approve.....this has been such a long process since I first started......and I still have one can that my dealer hasn't even received from AAC yet. :( I might see about having him cancel the order and getting a refund. From what I understand the AAC Element 2 shouldn't be very difficult to get your hands on, yet my purchase on March 8th still hasn't even made it to his shop.

Jason Bowers is our (Louisiana) examiner and unfortunately he is one of the slower ones.

Is that in an updated ATF letter? Can you provide a link to the info please.

Thanks,
Mike

I dont think there is a new letter I have never seen one. A dealer posted a new list not a letter link just typed out on this board about 6 months ago not sure if I can find it now. Jason Bowers is who is signing for all the forms for the two dealers I deal with in Louisiana. I just got three back today two where signed by bowers and 1 by Ted clutter. Guess ted is helping him catch up.

That letter isn't correct anymore, Santamaria is no longer with them and it doesn't even have Shannon Siviero listed.

I'm just outside Columbia...I was going to say Shannon's not on that old letter.

I've got a indvidual Form 4 with check cashed July 24th, pending August 3rd, so it seems like things are speeding up some.

NFA Item: AAC Ti-Rant 9mm
Date Purchased: 9/2/2012 on GunBroker
Date Payment Sent: 9/4/2012
Form 3 Cleared to my dealer: 9/27/2012
Form Type: Form 4
Transfer Type: Trust
Form Sent: 10/1/2012
Check Cashed: 10/9/2012
Pending: 10/12/2012
Error Letter/Problem Status: 4/1/2013 - kicked back for "unsigned trust" even though I have always sent unsigned documents since they are authorized copies, not genuine trust documents. Then kicked back a second time because the page numbering on the original trust doesn't match the page numbering on the other, printed version. To his credit, Mr. Pickles answers emails quickly.
Approved: 4/9/2013
