ATF continued.......

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

My form was approved 31 July and my dealer called me a few hours ago; I've got my suppressor in hand! I will get some pictures of it later.

Total time between pending date and approval: 4 months, 24 days. (146 days total) That's WITH a problem status that probably delayed it 2-3 weeks.

Total time between check cashed and approval: 5 months, 19 days (170 days total)

The wait times seem like they are decreasing!

The wait times seem to be dropping lately. I don't know what they were like this time last year, but they were around the 6-8 month mark when I submitted my Form 4 in January but got my stamp in just under 5 months from pending date.

So where's the dropping times? It appears to me to be a broken record -- 6 months, 6 months, 6 months.

Total approval time from cashing of the check to received form was down 20 days from the last two cans. Is it good ... no. Is it getting better? Seems to be.

I was seeing 6 month times from pending dates to approval and told to expect that by the BATFE. A few guys are posting 4.5/5 month pending-to-approval times, including myself.

140 from pending to approval, a little higher than my previous ones, but not bad for the way things were going.

I'm at 6 months exactly today, would be nice way to begin my week if my form was in my mailbox when I get home from work, but I doubt it. :?

My check was cashed on 2/22/12. I called to check on my SS Sparrow form 4 last week and was told it went pending on 7/17/12. I asked about the long period from check cashed to pending and was told that that an application error most likely resulted in it being sent back to my dealer for correction. I hope that I am not looking at another 3 to 4 months of waiting before I get my stamp.

Just called and my form 4 was approved yesterday. Six months and one day from when my check was cashed. I was beginning to worry a little when I found out last week that my form 4 only went pending on 7/17/12. I guess that my dealer should get the paperwork in about a week.
