Clean you silencer! Tirant photos inside

So I killed an armadillo a couple of weeks ago (ya don't say, it was number 45 lol) and I shot the can wet for max suppression as it was still around 1030pm and not after 1am when everyone is dead asleep. Well after I plugged him with 5 rounds of 147grn ranger SXT I put the suppressed glock in my night stand. Well fast foward about a month and for some reason today I was bored and felt like cleaning the setup. (I've been on a Ducati kick as of late and have been neglecting my primary hobby)

This is what I found...

It was a nasty thick paste and a buildup of a white crystal goop on the first 3 baffles.

BUT, after a good scrub with a brush and some winchester teflon spray gun oil
Image

Good as new...and this time I alternated the baffles to see if its any quieter (haven't shot it yet)

Morale of the story, clean your cans immediately after shooting wet. I was lucky to not have any corrosion eat the metals.

Uh, "dead"?

You two timer! :P

Just never leave it with any water still inside. If you can't shoot it dry, you can put clear it with pressurized air or even put it in the over at the lowest temp for a while to dry it out.

So I'm guessing the "Dillo Alert" went off?

When you shoot any can wet, it leaves a ton of crap in there!

Dry it won't look like that but it is nice to have a take apart can.

It's amazing what a little scrub-a-dub can do.

The neighbors would wake up to a TiRant dry? Last one I shoot was plenty quiet.

No one wake up to my Octane. Easier to clean too.

Five rounds? I got my 3rd one about an hour ago with a single 22 CCI sub sonic round.

^

Rub it in....

No time like the present to enjoy life.... Go get that bike you've always wanted. ;)

Yea I have updated pics I'll upload later from the PC.

And as far as the 5 shots.....our armadillos are tough I guess. I've used 22 and they run away and spray blood all over my damn driveway. I use 9mm or 45 if they really piss me off....like the one that just dug under my air handler slab and fucked all the plants we just planted out front. 45 for him!

Gross.

I had a dog like yours. A family of 4 pups. 3 boys and a girl. 2 went to the state police, 1 went to a local cop and I got the girl
Best dog I ever owned. Picture of her as a pup like 20 years ago, eating a milk jug. She would love to play, but wouldn't leave your sight....If the UPS or mail main come around the fur would stand straight up. Show her a ball and the mean act goes away....

my wife would kill me if I got a bike.......on the upside she could care less if I spend 40k in small purchases over a couple of months or so. Especially if she never sees the small items amass in my safe over said months! Guess we all can't have it ALL! HAHA.....love the spitz. We had one for 15 years and had to put her down. Won't ever get another dog. If your dog isn't a spitz it sure looks like one.

I'll try to address all posts :D

Yes that's water mixed with white lithium

And I'm a sucker for the monsters as well. I just test rode the new 1199 panigale s and wow.....that is THE bike. It truly is perfect. My plan is to have my truck paid off next year and find a lighty used panigale and add it to the bike stable. The 1100evo is soooooooo fucking fun around town. It has tons of power and pickup it's almost sad. You own the road. But the panigale....that's art on wheels.
