Recommended Barrel Threaders

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Recommended Barrel Threaders

Post by FB3 »

I know there was a post somewhere, I believe by Henry at SWR, with a list of good barrel threading companies. I have searched and looked and cannot find it. Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks!

Tornado Tech but sometimes they have a backed up lead time...
Going a little more discrete here due to some of my opinions...

ADCO in Sylvania, OH.

Thanks. I have had ADCO do some work for me and was very pleased. Sent him an email a day or two ago inquiring about my needs and haven't heard back yet.

What exactly are you looking to get done? Every time I have emailed him he responds within an hour or two. They may have the shop service(s) you need listed already on their site.

I started a thread recently on the same topic. I just looked in that thread and the link to the list you are referring to now says the topic requested is no longer available. I'd like to find that list again too. Should have written it down when I first saw it. Had about 6 different websites in it IIRC.

That's the one. There's a link in it that now goes to nothing instead of a list of websites that offer threading services.

I have a Lage .22 conversion barrel for my M11 that I want to get threaded. I just sent it to ADCO with some fuzzy instructions. What I need is to have the barrel threaded to accept a 1/2 x 28 adapter that is used on a P22. Don't know the thread size needed for the barrel, but just sent the barrel and the threaded end of the P22 to him. I am pretty sure that this is a pretty common size, so will see how it works out.

Looks like you take care of it and in good hands.

JP grips and machine do something similar for me and was very fast and good price, also perfect job. He even figure out things I forget to tell him like clearing the barrel ring for take down.

Show some pics when you get it back. :P

Thought you meant that the thread YOU posted didn't work, my bad.

Yep, that's the list. I will also save it for future reference. Also JP Grips.

Thanks.

Tornado Technolgies does fine work, but I won't deal with them ever again. They made me wait around 1 year for several projects. Avoid them. Choose another company who will return your work within a specified time frame.

Add Accurate Ordnance to that list. They do all of my gunsmithing and threading work and are wonderful to deal with. Their turn around times are usually pretty good too!
