The ASA meeting with the ATF & Congress (VIDEO)

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

The ASA meeting with the ATF & Congress (VIDEO)

Post by Kenny_SilencerCo »

On June 20th and 21st, the American Silencer Association sent six delegates to Martinsburg, West Virginia and Washington, DC to meet with the ATF and various Congressmen about your suppressor rights. For a full synopsis of their trip, please watch the video below:

Be sure to watch all of their videos in HD 720p or 1080p.

Nicely done. My wife does a lot of contract video and audio production, there is a LOT of work in that piece -- a lot of good-quality work.

Guys, it's $35/year to join the ASA if you have not done so already. Seeing stuff like this makes me feel like it was money well spent. These guys are doing a terrific job.

Humph.....I cried cause I'm waiting to send off my first forms (a bunch of Form 4's) on the multitude of cans I ordered in the beginning of March. It hurts so bad cause I know where all my forms will be......at the BOTTOM of that backlog from hell! AHHHHHHH.....makes me wanna just throw in the towel and give up. :(

Lookin' at the bright side ONE of them I've actually laid eyes on and there should be 2-3 others that arrived at my other dealer but I haven't seen yet. Maybe in another month I'll actually get to fill out the form 4's on them.
I've gotta stop this habit.

You and your team who went to the ATF and Congress are "The Magnificent Seven!"

You all exemplify what has made our country the shining
city on the hill. Your demeanor, class, dedication, and grit is so appreciated
in this day of half-to-no truths in the Andrea Mitchell mold of a deliberately dissembling media.

A particular irony on the issue one can use as an example is the state of Massachusetts where one can
obtain authorization to collect automatic weapons but sound delimiters
are banned. The State where three former speakers in the House are convicted felons.
Did the convicted FBI's John 'Zip' Connolly get James Whitey Bulger his NFA stamp for the set of silencers
he had? :)

Perhaps another idea that might take hold is to start calling the Items "Sound Delimiters".
Spreading the word at the local levels with videos, pamphlets, and invitation to actual
shoots at gun clubs can show that contrary to false stereotypes from Hollywood the
use of a suppressor is in keeping with environmental protection of hearing and reduction
of noise from shooting at clubs, thus becoming ever more societal friendly. A suppressor
is even more benign that the firearm. So, dispel the shuddering and cringing response
to sound delimiters.

Bravo, Sirs. A toast to you all.

Via con Dios.

Excellent work!

Seeing those boxes of forms is disheartening to say the least.

The news about e-filing is bitter sweet since none of my transfers are as an individual and with the backlog it means I just get to wait a few days sooner.

But the steps you have taken are good to see and much appreciated.

With regard to the examiner "assistants" that have been hired, does anyone know how many there are, what their function actually is, and when we might see any results from the help they may provide? Awesome job guys with both the mission and the video!!! Thanks!!!
