Letter from NFA Branch came yesterday!! not so "yay"..

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Letter from NFA Branch came yesterday!! not so "yay"..

Post by vz58 »

Well I thought I had a tax stamp yesterday. Nope. The trust name was xx and xx revokable living trust. But on the form one I just put xx and xx living trust. That was no-no number one.
Number 2 was "any legal purpose". NC used to be experiment, development purposes but our laws changed and we just have to comply w federal laws.. Apparently we still have to put experiment and development ...

I hope I dont go to the back of the line again...

Collection and Scientific Research always works for me in NC...

They were kind enough to tell me exactly what to put in each line, I caught the revokable having been left out of the name but was told it would be ok...

Yeah, we have to follow Fed laws but it was never released for the justification statement.

The letter explicitly states the trust name and the name on form 1 be exactly the same. I would assume if your trust name is johnson trust you should use johnson trust on form1.

You need to put the full name of the trust on your application, choose your trust name wisely so you don't have to engrave as much!
