Got my suppressor, it's norweigan!

It's an A-Tec PMM-6, not very well known outside of norway but I got my hands on one. All the people I've talked to says it suppresses better than it's main competitor, the B&T Impuls II-A. It also has the nifty feature of being modular, so it can be taken down and reassembled, you can even remove modules and make a very short but less effective suppressor, or vice versa.

The construction is anodized aluminum inside and out. Here's the manufacturers page on it:

I got this in 1/2x28 threading for my Glock 17 and I am currently waiting on a new threaded barrel to arrive from IGB Austria, I am casting and reloading my own 147 grain cast bullets, will definitely come in handy with this :)

I am familiar with A-TEC silencers but this is a new baffle design for them.

It is a clone of the B&T Impuls like Knights Armament uses.

Can you post some pictures of the baffles? They look near identical, yours I think has 1 extra baffle.

The modular capability is what makes it pretty sweet.

If it sounds as good as it looks it's a winner.

Its the same baffle as the B&T Impuls, just has the spacer machined into it instead of an additional part.

IIRC there are some differences between that and the B&T. Haven't tried the B&T, but I've tried the ATec and those that have tried both claimed it was superior.

I'm not sure I am going to have a chance to shoot this anytime soon, IGB austria went on a month holiday (the whole company!) and I am not sure they sent out my barrel before they left or not. They may make some of the worlds finest after market barrels but they have a lot to learn about customer service if they have done that.

Yep, just like the B&T/KAC:

I like the way this one comes apart :)

Not that simple BunkerGuy. Try reading some laws, not just the silencer law.

Don't know enough about the rest of Europe, but in Scandinavia it's fairly straightforward. In Sweden they must be registered, while Norway, Finland and Denmark have no regulations.

Due to the change in the EU firearms directive and also the change in the Finnish gun law, suppressors are now officially "firearms parts" in Finland.

However due to the huge number of them on the market already, no special licencing was effected on them.

However the export of even civilian / thread mounting suppressors is now regulated.

Suppressor ownership by civilians in Denmark is almost impossible at the moment.

May not be entirely due to EU regulations, although Norway isn't a part of EU we get most of the regulation anyway and they are not firearm parts here (only receiver and barrel).
Suppressor ownership by civilians in Denmark is almost impossible at the moment.
I did not know that, considering that danish silencers are sold here I figured they had a fair domestic marked.

Denmark

Before the new (crazy )gunlaw was put into effect , silencers was just a thing
you had to be 18 to own them ,but that was all
they could NOT be used for hunting

then came the message about a new law ,that nobody could tell whas saying

then one day it was in effect , but still nobody could tell what it said

that did scare many , you did not know if you now did something against the law that nobody could tell what said :?:

then the law text came to the puplic , like 6 month afte it went into effect

silencers was specific NOT forbidden , the only change was that you had to get it registered at the local police

problem is that no one at the police want to give any licenses

at a stroke of a pen , the police them self has become the law

in short , we the law abiding people got but fucked,,,, once again ,,like always

now if you DONT care about the law , just go down town and show some money , and tell what you want

and you properly get what you want faster than a politician can spin a lie

there was zerro problems before the new law

now some can claim no problems (and its true ) , and say a law did that(but that is BS )

Well my IGB barrel arrived last night, so here's some promised pictures:

The sights are Warren Sevigny competition sights, they have been real nice sights but they aren't tall enough for the suppressor. Switching to Dawson adjustables, the really high ones.

I like the look of the suppressor. Reminds me of the the 80's style with modern guts.

I took it apart and put it in a smaller config, I really like the smaller config, it's such a nice and compact size, points real well, good heft.

Congratulations on your new surpressor :)

On another note, I have the CCF licensed copy of the B&T suppressor in 45acp.
The baffles may look like those in a B&T but the B&T and the CCF does not have a tube that comes apart in 3 pieces. To me that's a heck of a big difference.
Or am I looking at the pictures wrong?

I don't think the Knight's suppressor comes apart in 3 pieces either.
But I don't have one of those.

Bumping this old thread again since I took it apart for the first time since I got it for some cleaning:

Here's a single baffle

Front baffle

Recoil booster part

Soaked the parts in Ed's Red and then scrubbed with a brush before wiping everything down.

Gonna try it out like this for now, just the recoil booster, one baffle and the front cap.
