Can flinching/anticipation cause baffle strikes?

Short answer is no.

Bullet is only inside the can for about 1/6000th of a second.
Similarly, you can shoot them safely bouncing around in a vehicle, helicopter, etc.

i think i have read somewhere that on a standard bolt action .308 that the rifle recoils less than the thickness of a business card before the bullet leaves the barrel. So its pretty fast, the human body cannot move that fast no matter how flinchy you are.
