Silenced Shotguns
So, I've been hankering for my first shotgun. I want a pump and I want to be able to toss a can on it. I've looked at iron goat cans. From what I gather, you basically need a gun with a hunting length barrel and it gets built into an integral, right? Are there other shotgun cans?
Re: Silenced Shotguns
I'm so ready for someone to start making a quiet 12 ga. for the 870.
If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

John Titsworth is making 410, 20, and 12's. And a new 45 can for that matter. Hopefully they come out soon.

I'm very excited to learn more about his scatter gun cans. I think I've been bugging him to death by contioulsy asking him "Do you have any updates yet" lol.

He's a BUSY man. He's working on something with me that he will bring to market as well when the kinks are worked out.[email protected] wrote:Fireman1291 wrote:John Titsworth is making 410, 20, and 12's. And a new 45 can for that matter. Hopefully they come out soon.

Re: Silenced Shotguns
I talked with Brooks from Thompson Machine at the HUSH suppressor shoot in Indianapolis, IN. He said they are working on a Saiga 12 suppressor, but they didnt bring it along.
Re: Silenced Shotguns
Great.....silenced shotguns......like I didn't have enough stuff to buy just to catch up on. Since I found out silencers are legal in February of this year I've been ordering LOTS of cans.......now with shotgun silencers coming around I'll have to start ordering MORE stuff when my rifle/pistol cans start coming in......ha ha.....oh well.....gotta spend my money on something. I can't take it with me when I go! Anxious to learn more about these things. Anybody have some links to some good info on shotgun silencers?
Thanks
Thanks
I've gotta stop this habit.

Re: Silenced Shotguns
Unfortunately no, I didnt really ask him too many questions, he just said it wasnt finished. There were quite a few other people wanting to talk to him so I didnt bother him for too long.[email protected] wrote:Did he give any other details?ctbreitwieser wrote:I talked with Brooks from Thompson Machine at the HUSH suppressor shoot in Indianapolis, IN. I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people......... I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out.

Hmm, I think I smell bologna fryin' here. 72 DB and it's ATF approved-and it's not a silencer? The materials used to build it only come from two places in the world? How exotic. They'd have to show me this one.1mobum wrote:Not exactly compact but they claim 72 Db.

Re: Silenced Shotguns
I don’t get it.
All he is doing is giving the gas more time to expand before reaching the muzzle?
Low pressure equals low noise?
Couldn’t you do that with $5.00 worth of tubing?
